All Classes are two hours in length unless otherwise noted.  My instructional rate is $30 for the first hour and $15 for each additional hour.  Supply costs vary accordingly.


Realism in Still Life:
6 week session
One class per week
Explore the historical Still Life genre beginnings in 1600 Netherlands to Contemporary Still Life (Matisse). We will start with a series of studies that will lead to a final painting. All supplies included. $470.00


Journaling:
4 week session
One class per week
Enjoy the process of THE JOURNAL EXPERIENCE to enhance daily creativity with mixed media journaling! Learn the ease of expressing yourself…draw, paint, write and collage in your journal. What catches your eye? A burst of color? The line of a branch reaching? A fuzzy still moment that turns the sky into Cadmium Orange? Journal with me! Supplies included. $280.00


Drawing Series:

One class per week
Learn line techniques, crosshatching, implied and expressive line, organic and geometric, gestural, contour. Discover the power of LINE.

Sculpture- 3D Exploration:
4 week session
One class per week
Found object sculpture-Out of the Garage and into Art
Students arrive with their “finds”. The class moves into a brainstorming session on conversational Sculpture. Students create a piece that is perfect as a coffee table sculpture or a table centerpiece sculpture (indoor or outdoor). Supplies included. $255


The Art of the Critique:
4 week session
One class per week
This class is for intermediate and advanced students. We will be understanding the process of critique…both giving and receiving.
We will break down the elements as we discover the totality of the work of art, while reinforcing the fundamentals. This class will consist of a series of quickly executed drawings and paintings, followed by a series of group critique sessions. We will discuss the elements of the work as an avenue for introducing alternate perspectives of the functioning of elements. Subjects will be the traditional landscape and still life formats. Supplies included. $280

The Elements of Painting:
6 week session
One class per week
This class is designed for beginner and intermediate students of painting. We will cover composition, rhythm, movement, the value scale and color theory. We will be drawing and painting. All materials included. $470
